David Jenkins joins Griffin as Chief Financial Officer
Griffin welcomes a banking and finance leader with experience that spans authorisation to IPO and a track record of building finance functions with deep expertise in treasury, capital raising and scaling high-growth banks.

Griffin, the UK bank for fintechs and platforms, has appointed David Jenkins as Chief Financial Officer. David will lead Griffin's finance function as the bank enters its next phase of growth, with responsibility for financial strategy, treasury, capital and liquidity, and financial planning.
David brings nearly three decades of experience across banking and financial services. He joins from Vemi Money, where as CFO and executive director he built their financial operations and risk management function, covering hiring, technology, treasury strategy, and governance. Before that, he served as CFO of Recognise Bank and AIM-listed City of London Group, where he built a function spanning treasury, regulatory reporting, financial control, and FP&A, and led capital raises of more than £40 million.
Earlier in his career, David spent six years at Aldermore, where he co-managed the bank's IPO and FTSE 250 listing in 2015 and built the capital allocation, planning, and reporting framework that supported its rapid growth. He has also held senior finance roles at Lloyds Banking Group, Prudential UK, ABN AMRO, and Credit Suisse, and began his career in audit at Deloitte and PwC.
"Griffin has built something rare: a bank that fintechs and platforms can build on, bringing the discipline and strength of a regulated institution with the speed of a technology company. I've spent my career helping banks at different stages of growth and I'm excited to bring that experience to a team with this much ambition."
— David Jenkins, Chief Financial Officer, Griffin
At Griffin, David will work closely with CEO and co-founder David Jarvis and the executive team to scale the bank and strengthen its financial foundations.
"David has helped banks grow, raise capital, and scale. He combines financial rigour with a commercial mindset. As Griffin enters its next chapter, we need a CFO who can be a growth partner to the whole business. We're delighted to have him here."
