What is Faster Payments?
Faster Payments is a payment system used to move funds between bank accounts within the UK. It runs around the clock, apart from a few short scheduled outage windows each week—payments submitted during an outage are sent shortly after it ends. Payments are generally completed instantly but can take up to two hours to arrive. Faster Payments have a per transaction limit of £1 million.
