Do scheduled payments from bare trust accounts earn interest?
We pay interest on balances as of 5pm UK time. When your customer submits a withdrawal request after 12pm on a working day (or on a weekend or public holiday), those funds will continue to earn interest until they are paid out the next working day at 4pm. Funds don't earn interest on the day they're paid out, as they leave the account before 5pm.
For example, if your customer requests a withdrawal of £500 at 12:01pm on a Friday, that £500 will keep earning interest until the payment is processed on Monday.
You can see our payment schedule for more information, or check out our guide on withdrawal schedules and outages for the full details.
