If a director is also a person with significant control for the same company, do I need to verify them twice?
When you are onboarding a company, you will also need to verify directors and any people with significant control (PSCs). If a director is also a PSC, you do not need to verify them twice.
If you are using the Griffin app to onboard your customer, you have the option to specify that a PSC is also a director, so you don't have to enter the same information twice.
If you are using our API, you should create one legal person to represent the director/PSC. This will provide you with a legal person URL, which can be used for both the director claim and the PSC claim. For more detail, read our guides on onboarding customers.
